New Releases!

April 2013
Hope all of you had a great winter and all of us at Race wish you and yours an even better spring.

Recently released to radio are the first two tracks from the new CD, Leonardville, by singer / songwriter, Sue Leonard. The pre-released, Bye Baby won two TWIRLIE Awards, for Most Played Song of 2012 and a Best Vocal Performance for Sue. (TWIRL Radio is located in Sacramento, California, USA.) This six-song effort is opening doors and listeners to the amazing Sue. Go-Sue-go!

The second Clown School effort, titled Jack Pedler's Clown School, is out and receiving heavy college radio airplay. A cartoon to follow is now in the works.

We are also pleased to welcome Mark Campbell to the family. His first CD, Twenty Feet Away, is a collection of finely crafted songs showcasing his song writing, guitar playing and beautiful baritone vocals. This listen is a soft, almost 'Country Folk' CD full of strong melodies and heart-felt lyrics. Thanks, Mark, for a great record!

Unleash The Hounds is the debut CD from Hamilton rocker Tommy Gunn. This 13-song release starts jumping and keeps jumping. Guests include Crowbar frontman, Kelly Jay, and Blackie and the Rodeo Kings Tom Wilson, as well as Tommy's dad, Canadian saxman, Sonny Del Rio.

The 'lost' King Biscuit Boy record, Biscuits and Gravy, produced by Georgie Fab and former Blood Sweat & Tears saxman, Darcy Hepner, has been delayed. Look for it in the summer. This is Richard Newell at his best - wow!!.

Also due for release in 2013 is Georgie Fab's new record, Everest, on which all instruments and vocals are performed by Georgie, who also recorded and produced it.

Georgie is also working on a project with guitarist / songwriter, Bill Dillon (Robbie Robertson, Sarah McLachlan, Peter Gabriel, Daniel Lanois, The Pretenders). This is one of those magical sessions that seems to have that "was meant to be" feeling, and everyone here is excited about the possibilities. Look for some special guests (and I underline the word special).

Anyway, as you can see, we here at Race Records had a busy start to the new year and hope to find you all in good spirits and great health!
